Putting Orlando on the map
July 2, 2009
Boston Crème Pie, New York Pizza, St. Louis BBQ, Philly Cheese steak, Chicago Hot Dog, New Orleans Hurricane, Mojito’s in Miami, Martinis in NYC but what about Orlando? Does Orlando have a signature drink or dish? Why not? Is it because we are too new of a city or because no one has created a signature food or beverage? My pal, Joey came up with the “Orlando Sinkhole” – a Bourbon and Orange flavored delight shown here. Depending on how Joey feels after downing more than one of these will determine if we need to trademark this libation representing blue ocean water and our beloved Florida Orange. Who’s with me on developing a contest to create an Orlando original food and drink? What a way to stimulate our local economy, create a buzz and add a little more pizzazz to our city.
